My artworks are magnetic representations of characters of indecipherable age, they are powerful figures with a strong psychological charge that is restless and seduces the viewer. The natural metamorphosis of the butterfly is basically symbol of spiritual transformation and rebirth. It represents the soul leaving the body, reaching a higher state of perfection. This concept profoundly affects human beings, who are thus encouraged to reflect on their own spiritual transformation. Even in humans there is an evolutionary project, a sort of disposition to the improvement, a tension to the elevation and the spirit. The human form is nothing but a phase of evolution towards a wider ”Being”. The butterfly teaches us to transform our lives consciously, to fulfill our deepest desires. It is in fact the representation of freedom, to which every human being aspires. That freedom that can be won only through a profound self-awareness. Vanessa is a genus of brush- footed butterflies. It is one of the few species of butterflies sighted in northern Europe before the arrival of winter. People with this name have a deep inner need for quiet, and a desire to understand and analyze the world they live in, and to learn the deeper truths.
