This is a unique work of free modern calligraphy written entirely by hand in Turkish. The paper used for the background is specially colored with acrylic paint and coffee. Description of The Artwork : ''The heart wants neither coffee nor coffeehouse. The heart wants a conversation, coffee is an excuse.'' In today's world, due to the widespread use of cell phones, people's ability to chat one-to-one is very limited. pleasant conversations are now very limited. Coffee is a pleasure to drink. In most cultures, there are also very good conversations in environments where there is coffee...so the taste of conversations while sipping coffee is different. In Turkish culture, I wrote a very popular saying for conversation with my own calligraphic free writing style. I hope you like it. The meaning of this saying I wrote is "coffee and coffeehouse do not actually matter, the important thing is the conversation. Coffee and coffeehouse are the excuse for this'' * Materials used in making artifacts : Coated paper, acrylic paint, ink, calligraphy pen, gold paint, coffee. *The framed measure of the work: 48x113 cm

I am Yıldırım Bayazıt Yaylak. I live in Turkey. I met Calligraphy Art in 2003 thanks to my interest and talent in painting. It did not take me long to get used to this art based on line. With patience and perseverance, my interest in pen and paper increased day by day. As time passed, I developed my own writing style. Thanks to my predisposition to painting and my love for calligraphy, I can use painting and calligraphy together. In 2009, I published my calligraphy book titled 'Letter Games'. I have been professionally engaged in calligraphy for 20 years. I have participated as a calligraphy artist in tourism fairs, festivals, receptions and workshops organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in India, Germany, France, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Russia, Sweden, Azerbaijan, Hungary and China. In order to improve my art, I attended the 200-hour Calligraphy training at Rauf Denktaş University of Northern Cyprus in 2022. I currently have a calligraphy diploma.
