About The Artwork

This evocative artwork, measuring 20.9 x 14.3cm, is a profound exploration of the interplay between identity, emotion, and the inexorable passage of time. In this portrait, a woman with a bared chest gazes pensively to the side, delicately touching her hair. The nuanced portrayal captures a blend of vulnerability and strength, inviting viewers into a realm where the human spirit and the ephemeral nature of existence converge. The background introduces an enigmatic element — a formless figure melting into a spectrum of colors. This amorphous presence suggests the constant flux of time and emotion, a visual metaphor for the transient nature of our experiences. The melding colors symbolize the myriad emotions that become integral to our identity, continuously evolving and shaping our essence. Adding to the complexity, the woman's face bears a striking feature: a double pair of eyes. This visual departure amplifies the depth of her gaze, hinting at the multifaceted nature of human perception and the layers of understanding that time unfurls. The dual eyes become windows into the intricate tapestry of her experiences, reflecting the profound impact of time on one's perception of the world. "Colors in Your Pores" beckons viewers to contemplate the temporal dimension of identity. The melting figure in the background and the dual eyes on the woman's face together speak to the fluidity of time, where emotions blend, memories evolve, and one's essence undergoes a continuous transformation. It's a poignant reminder that the colors within us, like the strokes of an artist's brush, capture the imprints of our journey through time, creating a rich and vibrant mosaic of human existence.

Zoe Lunar radiates and works in Mexico City, is a graduate of the national school of painting, sculpture and engraving "La Esmeralda". He is an artist in constant formation, who seeks plastic, visual and sound experimentation. His work feeds on time as matter and how it helps to interpret reality, through temporal representations, of spaces that converge in their social context and how this influences the formation and interpretation of our different contemporary realities; making use of the qualities of painting and drawing to make deformations in a perceptive portrait of different moments, and personal times in a single interpretation. He is currently nurturing his plastic work especially in painting and drawing, giving him new outlets like AR in some of his new works and occasionally making music and video.
