Evening Drawing

Inspiration for this work was thinking about friendship with a close friend. We have an age difference. One could say we totally different people, but I think we look in the same direction. And it helps us to maintain this bond, to continue our evenings filled with discussions. I hope viewers could feel the warmth of this evening, how time slows down to prolong the moment, how wind touches leaves and brushes them carefully. I work with oil pastels to be able to feel the touch of them against the paper, to feel the pressure. It reminds me of childhood. When so much matter in so little. How hard you press the pastel on the paper, at what angle do you hold it. It is my way to explore important questions with a naive view of a child. This is unframed work on paper, with high quality of craft paper and pastels, no hanging hardware included.
