As a child, Alex had always been fascinated by the stories his grandfather told him about his travels to far-off lands. One of the tales that had captivated Alex's imagination was the story of a majestic waterfall he had seen during a trip to South America. For years, Alex dreamed of visiting that waterfall himself. Years later, Alex finally got the chance to take a break from his busy life and embark on a journey to see the waterfall. As he stood in front of the cascading water, he was struck by its sheer power and beauty. For a moment, he forgot all the stress and worries of his everyday life and simply took in the moment. As he stood there, a sense of peace washed over him. He realized that there was something about this natural wonder that put things into perspective. The world was much bigger than his problems, and he was just a small part of something much grander. Alex stayed there for hours, feeling the mist on his face and the roar of the water in his ears. When he finally left, he felt refreshed and renewed. From that day on, he made a promise to himself to take more time to appreciate the beauty of the world around him and to never forget the feeling he had standing in front of that waterfall

Instagram profile: ----------------------- https://www.instagram.com/liebneranthony Education: -------------- 2011 - National Diploma in Fine and Applied Arts Tshwane University of Technology Pretoria, South Africa Artist statement: ---------------------- "I can't help but reflect on the beauty of everyday life. The simple moments that often go unnoticed, like a mother and child walking hand in hand, or the way the sunlight filters through the trees on a lazy afternoon. I've always been drawn to the raw, exposed instincts that make us human. The way we move and interact with the world around us. And so, I've made it my mission to capture these moments in my artwork. Through my expressionistic style, I've aimed to depict the wholesomeness of ordinary objects, and the way they connect us all. I've always been fascinated by the concept of love and how it shapes our lives. Love for our kin, love for our body, love for our partners, love for our work, and above all, love for our self. It's a driving force that pushes us to excel and prosper, and it's what I've tried to convey in my art. My sketches are elaborate and detail-oriented, with a focus on capturing the fleeting moments of life. The lack of color is a deliberate choice, as I believe it represents how all living souls are. The enigma of the art encompasses the vile divisions created by humans in the flesh. Each live soul has the same set of raw, exposed instincts, and inclinations just like any other. They all desire the same outcome from life. I want my art to be a reminder that life is more than just the big moments. It's the small, everyday moments that make up the tapestry of our lives. And it's my hope that through my art, people will find peace and tranquility in the soul, and be reminded of the beauty in the simple things."
