This drawing was created with vigour and speed, soft areas were worked with a cloth and rubber, for lost or forming shapes the surface vague and sensative was carved into with a 4B granite stick committing structures to the lost or delicate areas of the figure, created in the studio with fashion students in attendance.

Neil was formerly head of Fine Art at the School of Creative Arts and Digital Industries at B&FC, and also Curriculum Manager for the School of Creative Arts and Media at Burnley College.
