About The Artwork
My process starts with simple charcoal or pen drawings, here is where I enjoy exploring perspectives, connections, form. My synesthesia allows for a very natural gesture, therefore music always works as a catalyst for the beginning of my practice. The initial gestures are the most telling, as they’re the most expressive. As I develop the composition, I will start to attempt to create tension and connections between forms. This is where I develop the depth and perspective in my work.

I am a Portuguese, London-based artist. My practice consists of an exploration of perception, growth, natural cycles and space. I use biomorphic forms as my visual language, which are translations from intuition to movement/gesture, to form. Through this process I attempt to lock my movement in a moment in time. Most of my work is oil on canvas, however I experiment a lot with oil on paper, collage and charcoal on paper.
