This particular piece was inspired by people and society. Primarily how people view pubic hair all over the world. For example in my native language (Serbian) it is called stidne dlake. Which in literal translation means shameful hair. It is associated with shame to the point where it's rooted in our language to that extent. Yet they are a part of us. A natural component to the human body. And they should not be viewed as shameful, but celebrated. And this piece does exactly that. It celebrates pubic hair. Everything that society wants to hide, here its on full display. Perfect to be hanged on a wall with lights pointed in that direction, so it gets all the attention. I showed the piece to some of my friends and people I know. And I noticed 2 reactions. Either they will be amazed, and laugh, or they will be disgusted by it. But I haven't seen anyone act indifferently. Which in my book is a successful piece of creation. I think every adult will connect to it in some way. Because it's something we all universally have in common. And it's not something that we bought, it is something that we have naturally. The idea just popped and I knew it was special and that I had to make it. And it actually ended up looking better than I envisioned. It has so many elements to it, and it all works in a harmonious way. When I look at it, I see perfection. And it involved randomness to create. I could not replicate it in any way, or repeat the process. In fact nobody else could replicate it. Even if that somebody managed to make the exact copy. The signature would not be the same. That's another great example why hair was the perfect choice. I do not need a traditional signature, because hair is the signature. The DNA in hair is the signature. But in order to actually check the DNA you would have to open the frame, thus destroying the piece.
