This canvas painted with a mixed technique of acrylic colors and marker in a funny comic style by the italian artist Alessandro Siviglia shows life during lockdown. Infact the title IL DECRETO - the decree, refers to all the restrictians made by the government to deal with the pandemic of COVID-19. We see several characters, some look quite bored as if time doesn't pass fast enough, some indulge in wine, some just fall asleep. Even though this is a serious topic the young artist in his light and funny way makes us smile and take it easy.

I was born in 1982 in Salerno, Italy, where I grew up as well. I visited the Art Institute "Filiberto Menna”. In my teenage years I started as a street artist, using sprays to express myself upon the walls of my home town. In 2008 I went abroad and spent two years in Spain, where I actually started to paint on canvas. 2010 I went back to Italy and lived in different cities, like Milan, Salerno and Rome.
