John Lennon Original Ink Drawing Drawing

This original hand drawn artwork is of a personal favourite musician of mine John Lennon. When drawing this piece I spent a lot of time on the composition, the style and the overall look of the drawing. Focusing on the late 1980 chapter of the late Beatles life just before his tragic death I depicted the musician deep into his solo career famously contrasting to the 60's Beatle days. Living as a native of his beloved New York this was the part of his solo career the genre of experimental and gritty soulful rock and roll music. After putting in much effort time and details the finished piece highlights Lennon in his final stage of music. The original piece was drawn using a variety of Indian inks which gave me the capability to add in detailed and really fine line work in my drawing to ensure every fine line of hair, shading and texturing were included. This original hand drawn artistic tribute would make a great gift for any Lennon, Beatles fan.
