About The Artwork
Since 2013 I have been drawing and sometimes painting around this old forgotten garden, built by the wealthy family Khayat in the 1930's, and abandoned for decades until recently a group of enthousiasts started to revive the place, barely assisted by the municipality who owns it. Part of my ongoing project of Secret Gardens and abandoned locations, it will be the subject of an exhibition in the Haifa History Museum in summer 2016. The pen drawing is my specialty, sometimes using an oil sketch made on the spot as reference.
