A contemporary fashion illustrator with a strong fixation on line and the female anatomy, Lawrence continues to work from his studio apartment in Oval. He has been drawing from fashion for over 8 years and in 2011 studied fashion illustration at the London College of Fashion University. Since then he has wildly expanded and continued to push the boundaries of his profession. His work is underpinned by a flirtatious exploration of materials, embracing bold line with strong colour palettes. His interest in Poststructuralism evolved alongside Jacques Derrida’s theory of “deconstruction,” he describes image and symbol as crucial to the development of his work, fascinated by the idea "that all language, both written and spoken is a kind of symbolic processing of reality".
