About The Artwork

Taking the basic ingredients of the alternative world of retropresent, such as the particularly exclusive classic car, a road to the sea, and some young people with some details that place them in the present, I wanted to depict a scene in which I would almost say that the protagonists are nature. The ocean and a blackbird, calm and unchanging. With the number plate I wanted to pay a small tribute to the roads I walk along every morning near my studio, which are the ones that inspired this image. The vehicle is an ALPINA B6 2.8 preparation on a BMW e21. This digital illustration has been made with custom brushes that allow me to soften the digital-analogue transition. The setup includes self-imposed limits, both in terms of resolution and number of layers; a series of strategies to preserve my analogue technique, without losing the openness of digital possibilities. This digital illustration was created as part of a limited series of five copies. The artwork is presented numbered and with a certificate of authenticity.
