Drawing: oil pastel on Paper.
This drawing is part of a larger body of work titled, "Family Fremds". "Family Fremds" examines communities of faith, and how the values and beliefs held dear by those communities can be turned against themselves and others in order to raise fear and mistrust among neighbors. I exhibited this work at Rosalux Gallery in Minneapolis, Minnesota in October of 2017 and was notably featured on the blog of The Jealous Curator among other media sources.
This oil pastel drawing on paper is varnished with Lascaux UV Protect acrylic varnish and mounted onto a plywood stretcher and framed with 1/4" pine slats. All materials used in mounting and framing this work are archival.
