Design: Pencil, ink, paper, ink, color on paper. Pop Neocubist work, entitled "Neo-Zeferina". Work created in 2020. It is a portrait of Zeferina, an abolitionist leader of Angolan origin, who was taken as a child to Brazil as a slave. She rebelled against the slave system and played a central role in the creation of Quilombo (black communities formed by descendants of enslaved Africans), in Salvador-Bahia (Brazil). Symbol of resistance, in 1826 Zeferina planned a revolt to attack Salvador and obtain freedom. An insurrection was dismantled by the Empire police, who captured it and sentenced to death.
