About The Artwork

Sixth in a series of nine drawings. Cannot be sold separately. After the medieval tradition, Mermaid, as we know it today in Copenhagen, is a deity of the Sea Olympus, gives us his vision of the enchanting divinity, through a new mural paintings: The "Nonaptyque." Alternately cajoling, amazons or lesbian, sirens save a young woman from drowning. Olympus rewrote the myth of the mermaid carefully avoiding the classic mythological Greek and Scandinavian, preferring the image of Yemanja Haitian Voodoo. They become soft and heroic, in the waters of a benevolent Mother Sea.
