Parasite Drawing

Igor Pose was born in 1965 in Altai, Siberia into an artistic family, the son of a cameraman and an actress. From an early age, Pose immersed himself in drawing, painting and photography. A graduate of the prestigious Schukin Theatrical Institute (Moscow,1988) Pose started to develop his own unique artistic style, incorporating elements of literature, poetry and drama into his paintings and drawings. Always striving to transcend the bounds of tradition, in 1995 Pose developed a new form of scenic art based on body painting, movement and music called Body Art Trance Fashion Shows. These mystery ballets featuring dancers, gymnasts and models gained immediate success and media attention. Pose brought this unique innovation to another level by creating photo images of his human canvases in his Natural Art series (1997-2001). The first album of his works was published in France in 1999. Igor Pose has been living and working in Paris since 2000, and Brussels since 2009.
