I draw heavily from myth and legend, and this one - Rise, Oh Moon - It's Time to Howl - is inspired by ancient Celtic myth. A large wolf skull lies among the leaves and limbs of an old oak tree, both being important to several cultures, including the ancient Celts. Many of my resent digital works have been created with PhotoShop and a Wacom tablet. I always use a hand drawn sketch lying on the table beside me as a visual guide. Rise, h Moon… is part of a small series combining skulls and a natural background.

I am an artist and graphic designer living and working in western Colorado. I hold three Bachelors of arts degrees, and I actually make use of each of them even though they are somewhat varied. I went back to school to study Fine Art (printmaking), and fell in love with learning, so I went on to get degrees in Advertising/Design and Anthropology. My primary mediums are drawing (usually sanguine and black - sometimes small spots of color) and printmaking (mezzotint and engraving). In the last 3 years, I discovered digital drawings and paintings, and this endeavor has opened new and exciting doors for me, and I have created a lot of art with this “new” media. Aside from my art, I enjoy the outdoors, music, fashion fitness and my family.
