Drawing: Charcoal, Acrylic on Paper.
The memory of the religious rituals he witnessed in his childhood, on Ilha do Marajó, in the heart of the Brazilian Amazon, always brings to the artist's memory the smoky vision of contrite figures immersed in the dark night. These images and scenarios populate both drawings and paintings as well as Rey Vinas' tales and poems. They speak of a suffocating and magical time that is disappearing.
