About The Artwork
This work has started a new artistic way to explore my creativity which is drawings and graphics, free hand, free flow, on paper, just going with it, make art that don't require too much so could be done for fun on a free time and such. Before I never really did drawings or even sketches much for my works, not so far ago I started really appreciate the value of sketches and how much they help and make the whole process that much more efficient. Before I would work on canvas from the get go. But I always wondered how cool it could be to have the proper skills and confidence and sort of range of ideas to just any time without much thought draw something in like 15 minutes on any surface with minimum attributes such as just paper and a marker and come out with a decent result that would be satisfying and of value. I used to travel a lot and frequent galleries and museums and sometimes I was lucky to attend shows of some unusual kind of unreleased private collections of big masters such as Picasso, Van Gogh, Dali and such. Often major parts of them shows would be drawings, sketches and graphics and it seemed very cool, intimate and almost mysterious, as it let you to have a little peek behind the curtains and see the process of the work of the artist. Works that he almost would made in free time, for close ones, or just for practise. It often would be unfinished, with "flaws", imperfections, almost done hastily. But until this piece I never really had felt I had that skill yet until I started making drawings every day almost exclusively and got really obsessed with it, by the virtue of which figured some ideas for future paintings. Every artist probably should have a bunch of paperwork and sketchbooks filled with notes, drawings, I think it shows how devoted he really is.
