This piece is not only about encouraging thought about pollution and emissions, but also about mankind's ever increasing hand in the manipulation of environment. In this work the paint is applied in a manner that evokes organic shapes. It is then overlaid precisely with charcoal and pen; two direct drawing implements that allude to the artist's hand, and man's subjugation of nature.

My work centers around modern man's ever growing symbiosis with computerized technology. I explore everything from our constant attachment with our cellphones to the ever-lowering barrier between reality and virtuality. Most of my subjects are caught in the process of using their devices, exhibiting blank stares and bored expressions. My generation sees the world through a computer screen. I reference this by suggesting pixels in my figures as well as painting the background a solid glossy black that provides a reflective surface that is reminiscent of an in-active computer screen.
