About The Artwork
As a victim of Covid-19, I felt it was important to produce some work based on the feelings involved in being sick with this particular virus. It's as though people have taken over your body from the inside, your organs, your mind. I felt trapped in circumstance and truly did feel like a victim. This is reflected in this piece by a number of hands clawing their way out of the figures body, as though a force is killing them from the inside. It was created to be harrowing, a hyperbolic representation of suffering from the perspective of someone in pain.
