It's initiation week and the young spelunker girls cavort in their new surroundings with hope in their hearts. It's a difficult course, in stamina and study. Each one has a parent that has been involved and their stories told have beckoned these younger ones to follow in their footsteps. No pun intended. On the first day they remain close to the opening of the cave and nervously ponder the future in- depthness. No pun intended. While two chatter effortlessly, one keeps peering over her shoulder. She thinks about Hansel and Gretel when she spies the tiny white rocks.
