Taj Mahal in Summer Drawing

This is an original drawing that was taken from sketches while travelling in India in 1990. I completed it while staying at a friends place in Bangalore on the same journey. I wanted to convey the fact that India is a very crowded country and more often than not, photos of the Taj Mahal can give the opposite impression ( Princess Diana alone on a bench...) My visit was thronging with people in a sweaty heat. I have simply told the story of what I saw. Birds can be seen flying past the dome, which I also saw, and I added this to try and give a sense of the elegance and grace of this amazing building. This drawing is without a frame or mount but simply on its own. To deliver I can send it either in a packaged tube, as it is paper that can manage bending, or flat.
