About The Artwork
I've wanted to do a stack of teacups for ages. The natural response to this stack of teacups, naturally, was to balance a girl on top. I also liked the idea of the teaspoons juggeling around her. I wanted to keep the backgrounds simple so that the designs and details would jump out. I also wanted ths picture to look more like a design if you squint your eyes. colourful,Once again I have done this picture on wood with gesso using coloured ink and fine brushes.

Studied at art school Durban and then fashion design at Tshwane University of technology. Went on to study medical illustration which has had a profound influence on my work which is mostly figurative / realism. Pen and ink illustrations in excruciating detail. Inspiration comes from everything, studying people especially. who are appreciated as subject matter with a contempory twist. we love a little humour, a bit of the macabre and surprize.
