The hyper- realistic charcoal and graphite rendition of “The Birth of Venus” by Sandro Botticelli in 1485. Venus is portrayed on a shell at the seashore on her right side Hora, waits for the goddess to dress her body. On the left, the figure of Zephyrus carries the nymph chloris as he blows the wind to guide Venus. Botticelli paid much attention to her hair and hairstyle, which reflected the interest in the way the woman wore their long hair in the late fifteenth century. I recreated this artwork with charcoal and graphite pencils
