About The Artwork
This artwork is a large ink drawing in this series of works of one of my favorite subjects. It is a complex mix and interplay between very fine ink line detail and more expressive bold lines which create fine detail and complex texture. Care is given to the original shape and structure of the tree but the main focus is expressing the 'essence and presence' of this tree from knowing it for many years . This work is created on large 50x70 cm acid free 170gsm art paper,using high quality lasting black inks with archival quality , maximum light-fastness, acid free and waterproof. The drawing has a 2cm white border all around it.

Stefan Fierros grew up in Madrid,Spain.His parents,architect and classical dancer/artist left a strong artistic influence since childhood. He has lived around the world in Spain,Mexico,Paris and England. This has created a very mixed cultural background which has influenced his work. Working in Painting & Drawing his work is mainly Abstract but also often uses the subject of landscape and nature. His main interest is in 'the nature of the spiritual' and different 'states of being' he experiences in nature etc. He studied art at the Institute of Fine Art & Design in Southampton.England. His work can be found in private collections in the UK and abroad.
