I was born in the city of Bacău in Romania. I grew up in the city of Suceava, where I completed my primary and high school studies. Later, I lived in the city of Iași during my university studies. After graduating, I lived successively in Suceava, Lugoj, then back to Suceava, and finally in Iași, where I practiced my profession as a design engineer in the field of HVAC installations. For the past 24 years, I have been residing in Iași. I have been drawn to the graphic art of Romanian creators such as Ion Stendl, Dragoș Pătrașcu, and Marcel Chirnoagă since my childhood. Among internationally recognized artists, the works of Salvador Dali, Leonardo Da Vinci, Giorgio de Chirico, Zdzislaw Beksinsky, Giger, Gustav Klimt, and many others have deeply impressed me, with their diverse artistic styles and techniques. However, the foundation of my inspiration lies in the world of my dreams, which are often filled with supernatural and surreal images. Currently, I prefer working with acrylic paints on canvas due to the experience I have gained with this technique. The quick drying nature of acrylic paint aligns well with my working style. Nevertheless, I am also comfortable working with colored pencils, graphite, charcoal, pastels, and oil paints. I also engage in mixed media techniques, incorporating glue, varnishes, metallic oxide powders, and even edible spices such as pepper, flour, oat flakes, paprika, coffee grounds, and others, owing to their unexpected and excellent plastic qualities.
