About The Artwork
Partly inspired by the model for the drawing: Matisse and also partly inspired by film legend Stanley Kubrick, specifically 'Eyes Wide Shut' and 'A Clockwork Orange'. I felt like leaving Her as a sketch provided an unsettling and dark feel that contrasted nicely to the blood red acrylic background. I've always enjoyed darker stories and storytellers, there is a beauty hidden underneath darkness that is very unique and special.
