William Forsythe and Sang Jijia's Hands Drawing

Akram Khan's Hands is one of the drawings from the series Heart and Soul that I started in 2020. The series establishes a dialogue between my spatial research on painting and the spatial research of the choreographers Sasha Waltz, Pina Bausch, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, Merce Cunningham, Martha Graham, Trisha Brown, Yvonne Rainer, Akram Khan, Benjamin Millepied, Damien Jalet, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, William Forsythe, Sang Jijia and Rafael Bonachella. We work with different mediums to offer an immersive experience to the viewers and invite them to meditate on other spaces from our own interaction with space. It is a reflection on the condition of the live image and its presentation in a time of close confinement and social isolation.
