Catherina Pearls (Ciska Verkerk) born in 1994, Culemborg (NL) Inspired by darkness, shadows and contrast of life Catherina is making her own dialogue with her drawings and paintings. Talking to her work and communicate trough pencil and ink. Making stories about life events where survival, recognition and feelings are the key words. Some events whe all can relate to and with a big inspiration back to her traumatic childhood. Catherina learned herself to form shapes, movements and flow human collective emotions trough her brushstrokes. Her work reflects as a mirror for the viewer. A proces built in years working alone in her house without anybody knowing she made art. Since 2022 Catherina is regonised as a young emerging artist.
