About The Artwork
I channel my childlike enthusiasm for basketball culture into artworks with a playful and ham-fisted style. I have been cutting the players out of 90's basketball trading cards to incorporate into drawings. Sometimes the players' limbs get cropped out of the cards so I fill them in using Supracolor pencils to give them a fun, energetic feeling enhanced with the addition of cartoon eyes and flashes of light in the crowd. I like to imagine them as a highlight reel all happening at once on a piece of paper.
