About The Artwork
"As above, so below" is Glyph 11 of my personal Grimoire "The Arcane Shadow". A body of work created through many years of research and practice. It is another true Glyph used in the Arcane arts and as such is not a thing to be trifled with. It is instrumental in the development of the self as God-head, master and mother of the sacred and the profane. In its dormant state it is a warding talisman against outside influence, allowing only that which the keeper allows. I sealed this glyph in 2017 and it remains to this day in its first state, undefiled. The frame shows wear from use, display, private functions, and from inclusion within the Grand work. It is a scale from which certain balances can be derived. It is made from select elements, my plasma and a binding agent as the lines of confluence, composite gold leaf in 7 layers, 7 concealed paintings beneath the mantle, on 7 days of specific astral and lunar influence. I offer it here as a means of preserving the Grimoire wholly but separately. May it be for you as it has for me. May its works be sealed and enumerated.

A Native Alaskan, mixed media artist, and wheelchair user; Ember's work can be found in private collections in the US and abroad. Focusing primarily in bas-relief carving and ilumination her technique was first taught her by her grandmother. An oft forgotten art form, hers is found in the halls of country homes as well as palacial estates where they are treasured for their exquisite intricacies, soft warm grains, and flowing textures.
