Autumn Gold Fresco No.2 Artwork

I am a fresco and Venetian plaster artist and designer born in Czech Republic and based in Northern Ireland. As the founder of the fresco craft studio Vacarda Design, I mostly work on bespoke interior projects and private commissions. For the past five years, I’ve been privileged to create artwork for private collectors in London, Dublin, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Switzerland, and the USA. It’s rare when I get a chance to create non-commission artwork, and that makes every such piece extra special to me. I work with Italian plasters, blending the centuries-old traditions of fresco, fresco secco, and decorative Venetian plastering with fine hand-brushing and embroidery. The fusion of these techniques creates captivating and irreplicable colour and texture effects, giving each fresco a unique character. The only theme I explore in my work is that of beauty. I am fascinated with its timelessness, the texture’s organic flow, its interplay with colour, and our perception of it — those little things that make us pause every time we see them. Time stops when we pause to feel and be present, creating moments of eternity.
