About The Artwork
Contemporary painting with flowing long abstract brushstrokes and heavy texture in shades of blue, beige, brown, gray, champagne, and gold colors. I created an abstract landscape painting that represents the shapes and patterns of fossilized sea shells and other beach treasures. I was inspired to create the painting by shelling on Beaches of Fort Myers and Sanibel Island, located on the beautiful Gulf Coast of Florida. Many secluded and even not-so-secluded shorelines are covered in shells and different shapes and colors of stones and fossilized corals. Working with color, line, and texture, I painted a singular interpretation of my connection with nature. Original and modern feel and really nice texture. This is an original abstract 3D vertical or horizontal contemporary painting presented on a gallery wrapped canvas. Painting is stretched on a supported 1.5 inch thick wooden frame.
