Yoshie Allan is a Japanese-born, UK-based visual artist and illustrator known for her self-taught, mixed media approach inspired by nature’s contrasts and her upbringing in Fukushima. Originally studying veterinary science, she later pursued fashion design at Esmod Japon in Tokyo before transitioning to the apparel industry. Since 2006, Yoshie has created works ranging from picture books to bespoke designs and launched the acclaimed Hide & Seek in Dreamscape series, featured in Seibu-Sogo Department Store's 2024 Autumn campaign across Japan. Her recent works, blending fabric, stitching, and paint, bring playfulness and introspective themes to life, engaging viewers through exhibitions and workshops in the UK, Japan, and beyond.
