This work presents a vertical female nude, in which the model's crossed arms conceal the face and reveal a slender body, arms which also seem ready to support the world above as those of a caryatid would... The blue color is provided by the acrylic paint, which is applied to the entire canvas: this explains why the background is no longer completely black but also tinted in blue. This painting is a unique piece created in mixed technique on canvas which combines photography, digital composition and acrylic painting (shiny lacquered glaze and silver squares in relief). The canvas is signed and dated on the back. The painting is framed in a black American box (total dimensions: approximately 52 x 22 x 3.5 cm)

« In the age of digital technologies, I couldn't just be a painter or a photographer. My 'paintographies' bring down borders between techniques and offer a resolutely contemporary hybrid art. » I was born in 1975 in a small town in the French countryside and arrived in Paris in 1992 for my studies (History, English and literature). I have been a professional artist since 2007, with over 60 exhibitions across France and Europe. My artistic approach is both simple and complex. Although my work portrays a figurative aesthetic that favors clarity, it does so through a complex blending of photography, digital art, and acrylic painting. The result is a mixed technique I call ‘paintography’. My compositions highlight the fragility of the human body. I transform my model into virtual sculptures by replacing their skin with mineral materials to represent the passage of time.
