About The Artwork
This piece is Glyph 7 my personal Grimoire, "The Arcane Shadow" and is based upon the tree of life. It is not to be taken lightly. It is a key-stone map used in navigating and understanding the corpus of the Grimoire, as well as navigating and understanding the arcane realm. As functional art, it is an exploration into what lies within, beyond all ego. It was generated prior to undergoing a disc replacement surgery in which the outcomes were likely death. This was part of an attempt on my part to communicate my understandings of The Work, my path on The Way. With patience it can be used as a tool to reach beyond this physical form, reach the higher self, and strike a balance. It is authentic and one of a kind. This glyph is composite gold leaf on gesso board, my own plasma mixed with stabilizer to create the raised lines. This glyph is ready to become a willing tool in your work, and a cherished part of your collection. I am releasing it in order that the Grand Work be better understood, and that my Grimoire "The Arcane Shadow" be preserved. Serious inquiries only.

A Native Alaskan, mixed media artist, and wheelchair user; Ember's work can be found in private collections in the US and abroad. Focusing primarily in bas-relief carving and ilumination her technique was first taught her by her grandmother. An oft forgotten art form, hers is found in the halls of country homes as well as palacial estates where they are treasured for their exquisite intricacies, soft warm grains, and flowing textures. Evoking a sense of antiquity, as well as modernity her work speaks of the hidden wise-woman workings, the healer, the mystical, the arcane body. She follows humbly on the path of a long line of magical realism masters. In her own words: "If I am to create art, let it be for beauty, that it may be cherished and stand the test of time. If I am to create art, let my hand do my heart justice. Let it sing inside the wood a melody that fills the soul."
