My name is Koen Haarbosch (born 1976, Gilze, The Netherlands). ........ For me creating = playing. When my thinking does not interfere with my creating I can just let it flow. ........ I hope my vibrant and playful art can reshape the world with a sense of joy and childlike wonder. ........ My work is being influenced by the styles of graffiti, cartoons, comics, pop art, and urban street art. But I'm also influenced by artists like Paul Klee, Joan Miro, Keith Haring, Jean Michel Basquiat, Roy Lichtenstein, Jon Burgerman, and the CoBra art movement. ........ Music is very important to me and my work. Music is always playing when I'm creating art. I appreciate a lot of styles. It depends on my mood and time of day. I love to start my mornings with 80s Hip-hop and 70s funk music. But when working on my art gives me that energy boost I can easily switch to Techno and Old School Rave. Yes really. No problem for me. Creating my art is always an interaction between my music and me. ........ I'm the quiet type, a happy introvert if you like. Enjoying silence, meditation, sports, healthy food, my family, and a simple life. ........
