About The Artwork

The Second Wave Series is a collection of artworks created during the second lockdown of COVID. With the change in how many people in the EU and America "went to work," David was unable to go to the studio to create new works. However, as with creativity, the desire to create does not end with the location. Each of these works is a new attempt at expression in a changed world. Each is a mix of digital exploration and self-expression, incorporating more traditional methods stripped down to its bare self. Each is pigment/ink embedded in scratch proof acrylic glass, to an ultra-high definition. A rounded artwork. Ready to hang. Edge to edge picture without frame.

David Darcy is considered to at the leading front of modern expressionism, where he surpasses many of his contemporaries. His style is fluid and constantly evolving to push the boundaries of contemporary art. In an interview with View Magazine, Darcy described himself as an experimental artist, always pushing for more. He does not believe that one medium over the other shows talent, and has often combined mediums to get the maximum effect. Darcy has worked as an street artist, under the name OSHO, where he developed the interest of the expanse between Urban Caulture vs The Art World. When talking to the BBC, he stated that all art is an expression. When one is creating there is no divide between the practice of creating and your inner-self. Every thought or movement marks an inquiry of self. Darcy's work is well sort-after and has collectors worldwide and representation in Europe, US and Canada.
