About The Artwork

the story is based on the controversial history of the Western Wall and its issues even today. It all first stemmed from the picture based on an adaptation of David Rubingers famous picture of Zion Karasanti, Yitzhak Yifat and Haim Oshri, IDF paratroopers at the Western Wall shortly after its capture. It is a sign of hope and peace in Israel, something that is yearned for still today. The other two are related to Israels internal struggles with its own microscopic religious and secular wars, however all based on finding inner peace through the many struggles the land, nation and religion has endured over the many years.

Me... I'm Pete, otherwise known as Pemalu, a truly casual cartoonist. If you've visted my website, well then welcome to the place I hang my art! If you read on you'll be following my journey, which has recently become an even greater passion thanks to the invention of the IPad. If it wasn't for that little machine, I wouldn't be here taking time to put this site up (in fact all of these pieces are first hand drawn, painted and if you want printed... Much of the work I do is done on the Ipad and now looking to move into more serious pressure art with unbelievable gadgets like the new WACOM Companion!) it's where I do all my freestyle work.... which amazingly allows me to run wild with ideas!. I've also just finished an advanced cartooning course at the cartoon museum in London.. Blending illustration with real life! I'm looking for projects to blend in with real life work, but going Pro is not easy, so I am looking for help on this journey. I'm combining technology with art here, and yes my cartoons are all hand drawn... so with the aid of a little background wizardry and lifelike inclusions the finished piece of blending animation with real life gives a finish I hope you like. If you know anyone, or a company that is looking to add a little colour or humour to their website, marketing material or personal images then please contact me. Fees are fully negotiable on bespoke art.
