Guest No 18. Mr. Soothe My Sorrow. Mr. "Soothe My Sorrows" is filled with emotions. I only see him when his soul overflows with various anxieties and emotions. He comes to me and says, "I worry about you." This means he needs help. We sit under the soft, warm light of my Sun, and he opens up his Universe to me. One by one, I pull out his sadness, worries, and anxious thoughts from there. Some are very reluctant to leave his World; they cling on and try to hide, to camouflage themselves so I wouldn't notice them. But I am stronger; I see everything; I manage. He leaves me happy, his rainbows once again shine and shimmer with bright cosmic colors. It's a pity he'll soon return. “What Dreams May Come” is an art project by Oleg Gant. I live and works in Northern Europe, in Lithuania. The project includes two lines “Guests” and “Far Rainbow”. The art series "Guests" is inspired by thoughts that come to me. Often unexpectedly, sometimes I am glad to have them, sometimes I wish they would leave my World sooner. But I am always happy to see them, my Guests are so diverse. Do you recognize them too? My works are inspired by great artists such as Matisse with his vivid colors, and early sci-fi writers like Ray Bradbury, Stanislaw Lem, and the Strugatsky brothers. They have filled my life with unusual worlds, adventures, and romance. I now weave these myriad influences into the tapestry of my art. I work by mixing different techniques and media.
