It is customary to represent Justice in the form of a blindfolded woman holding a pair of scales in one hand and a sword in the other. In this painting, only blindfolded eyes remain, the other attributes of justice have disappeared, it is no longer possible to weigh the pros and cons or to punish, empty hands and dangling arms testify to renunciation, to abandonment, defeat. In a word: A-justice, or the absence or death of justice. This painting is a unique piece in mixed technique on canvas that mixes photography, digital composition and acrylic painting. The surface is shiny, with raised green and brown squares. The work is framed in black wood (total dimensions: approximately 126 x 86 x 3.5 cm)

« In the age of digital technologies, I couldn't just be a painter or a photographer. My 'paintographies' bring down borders between techniques and offer a resolutely contemporary hybrid art. » I was born in 1975 in a small town in the French countryside and arrived in Paris in 1992 for my studies (History, English and literature). I have been a professional artist since 2007, with over 60 exhibitions across France and Europe. My artistic approach is both simple and complex. Although my work portrays a figurative aesthetic that favors clarity, it does so through a complex blending of photography, digital art, and acrylic painting. The result is a mixed technique I call ‘paintography’. My compositions highlight the fragility of the human body. I transform my model into virtual sculptures by replacing their skin with mineral materials to represent the passage of time.
