She saw her life in terms of Black and White just awaiting color... That was before the breast cancer makeover. Her eyes reflect the delicate of blush of many tears... once shed so brutal yet so devastatingly beautiful. Because Pink never suited her, it would never define her. It became the color of her battle cry, scars and the hue of the glorious sunrise of victory... No pink never suited her, but it's palette becomes her. She is ready... This was a piece of art so deeply personal to me I fought it's direction until it literally Morphed into to the recreation of itself. I was about half way through the illustration before I began to grasp it's concept. And realized it was the history of my battle with breast cancer. It needed to be said if only to myself. The Title of Pink Never Suited Her, is the direct result of my life long hatred of pink, Long Long before my diagnosis. This is 16x16" on Fine Art Paper and is #2 of an Limited Edition of 3.
