The original photo is a child playing in BASECO, Manila. During that time, the artist as a volunteer undertook a special photo walk with Smokey Tours and permission from the Barangay (a local government of the area) to photograph their way of living. It was also during that time when the place was made as a dumpsite for trash, before efforts were made for a clean up drive. Being a volunteer, the artist realized that sometimes, it is hard to help people when what you give doesn't help them in the next day. She believes on nurturing the dreams of what people have for themselves, on chances and opportunities that will provide them a better future in life. Moreover, she believes that this collective individualistic change we will provide will help our country’s progress, as dependency and unemployment rate will be reduced.
