Side B Mixtapes: Dance Mix Artwork

Side B Mixtapes: Dance Mix is a 3-D mixed-media artwork incorporating a handmade resin cassette mixtape with an 80s vibe and vibrant colour palette with resin and acrylic paints. The cassette mixtape is made of resin, glitter and acrylic paint embedded into the resin coating painted to make you "Wanna Dance With Somebody"! The birch canvas is hand painted acrylic, the piece is finished with a layer of glossy resin with sawtooth hardware mounted on the back, ready to hang. The collection was inspired by 80s and 90s nostalgia and a romantic heart. Each cassette is handmade with resin, pigments, glitters, little surprises and embedded objects within the tape to incorporate the theme of the piece with the canvas, then it is hand painted. Once embedded on the painted canvas, embellishments are incorporated in the final resin pour, integrating the cassette design into the canvas and enhancing the 3-D effect. The collection is called 'Side B Mixtapes' because I believe the best is yet to come.
