About The Artwork

This is a drawing in watercolor and pastels on 100 % rag paper. It is a study for a series of sculptures I made for an exhibit at the International Museum of Art and Science in McAllen, Texas. It shows a bird with plastic items in it stomach, and speaks to environmental threats to wildlife and people due to plastic pollution. It shows the Roseate Spoonbill in flight.
