About The Artwork
This is Glyph 1 of my personal Grimoire "The Arcane Shadow". It is an open glyph of the "Many Splendored Path", and as such is used in divining the path to a specific goal. It is inspired by my personal health journey, as well as a deep study of the arcane body and was created during a time that I was undergoing various surgeries and procedures that left me wheelchair bound, but alive. It is a powerful tool, not to be taken lightly. It is ready to be of service in your life, and to grace your practice. As it is an active piece, the frame shows signs of use and minor wear. These are a part of its journey and testament to its use. It is comprised of my own plasma stabilized in a bonding agent to create the raised lines. Behind the piece, and invisible to the naked eye are seven paintings, done on separate days of significance, and under specific astral influence. This is a real glyph and should be treated with care, it is not a toy. It is my hope that this Grimoire in its entirety can be preserved. And to that end select pieces shall remain in private collection on permanent loan. I look forward to answering any questions about this piece or any others. Serious inquiries only.

A Native Alaskan, mixed media artist, and wheelchair user; Ember's work can be found in private collections in the US and abroad. Focusing primarily in bas-relief carving and ilumination her technique was first taught her by her grandmother. An oft forgotten art form, hers is found in the halls of country homes as well as palacial estates where they are treasured for their exquisite intricacies, soft warm grains, and flowing textures. Evoking a sense of antiquity, as well as modernity her work speaks of the hidden wise-woman workings, the healer, the mystical, the arcane body.
