About The Artwork

Ah, the Rooster. Who knows him and his wily ways. While this series began about women, here we come to one that, while involving women, is really about men, and boys, and boys becoming men and vice versa. Oh yeah, and disasters. Capturing a bit of Pollock and DeKooning with their “allover” style, yet staying uniquely me, this piece continues to draw from both my unconscious and conscious sides, while from an aesthetic view attempts to sort out the balance between too much and not enough. ~~~ SUBJECT MATTER: Disasters, Egypt, Men and Boys - - - PLEASE NOTE: There is a 3D element to this piece (see angle picture) ________ DETAILS FRAMED: No SEALED: Yes SIGNED: Yes, initials on front and full signature on back HANGING HARDWARE ATTACHED: Yes, see pic of back. *NOTE: Picture on wall for illustration only - piece is not matted or framed. ________________________ Lots of art has an agenda, a planned place it’s taking you. If you wanted to be taken somewhere you've already been, why look at art? Art is about discovery, about feeling the moment where the artist leapt, and leaping with them. Come along for the journey. | THE ART OF EVERYTHING | T A O - E **Original Art for Original People**

ART, LIKE LIFE, HAPPENS BY ACCIDENT. A whiff of control; some semblance of steering. And belief of a firm grip. But we're grasping at the air beneath our feet. The truth is: we don't hold anything. It comes in bits and bobs, dashes and jots - brief glimpses, spaces, sliding out of sight. For truth, is to feel it slip away. And then to try to create it. - - - Sometimes funny, sometimes sad, & often both, my art reflects the intersection between logic and intuition, real and abstract, time and the timeless. - - - - - - - - - Steven Tannenbaum grew up in New Jersey, where he learned how to garden and defend himself. He now lives in Portland, Oregon, and his art is in public & private collections across the US, Israel, and England. You can find more of his work at: www.whatifind.com
