Construction from cardboard, painted in professional acrylics. It's part of a journey that starts with 20th century abstract art. The goal is to balance the elements of the composition. It has to also belong to the now. It takes judgement, intuition, experimentation, and decision. Once an element is fixed into position, it's final. The process of making is deeply involving. Elements are often placed slightly off-kilter, which should engage the viewer's thought processes in a cerebral dance This work comes unframed. The ground is painted plywood. Because it has attached elements, it would probably display best in a deep sided, glazed frame, perhaps with a little border around it
